CDS fluid supply system composition and basic requirements

CDS Automatic Chemical Delivery System This is a centralized system used for the automatic and continuous supply of chemical liquids on production lines.

1. CDS Delivery System It is mainly composed of four parts: delivery cabinet, liquid source, transport system, and control system.

1.1 Delivery Cabinet

Structural features: The delivery cabinet adopts a fully enclosed structure, welded from acid and alkali corrosion-resistant PP (polypropylene) plates. It is equipped with equipment maintenance doors at the front and rear, and a detachable transparent PVC door at the rear for easy observation of the internal pipelines.

Safety measures: The delivery cabinet is equipped with an exhaust system to remove volatile corrosive gases, and is equipped with a flow adjustment valve and a differential pressure gauge to monitor the air volume and pressure, ensuring the safety of the operating environment.

1.2 Liquid Source

Configuration method: This system uses one type of chemical liquid, equipped with two liquid supply tanks, to achieve uninterrupted liquid supply, ensuring the continuity and reliability of the liquid supply.

1.3 Transport System

Metering pump: As an ideal device for precise metering of fluids, it can undertake the metering and addition of highly corrosive solutions in chemical processes and is now widely used for quantitative or proportional supply of auxiliary materials in chemical processes.

Filter: Because the solution being transported is a strong acid, a PFA filter is selected. Considering ease of use and replacement, a shell-and-filter-separated filter is selected.

De-aerator: Since the use of a metering pump to transport the solution causes vibration, which easily releases microparticles and produces bubbles, a de-aerator needs to be installed.

Liquid supply pipeline: The system liquid supply pipeline is mainly composed of valves and pipe fittings. Considering corrosion resistance and transportation safety, the liquid supply pipeline generally adopts a double-pipe method.

1.4 Control System

Control method: This system is controlled by a PLC, and there are two operating modes: automatic operation and manual operation. In automatic mode, when the liquid supply system receives the liquid supply demand signal from the equipment, it automatically runs the liquid supply program to complete the liquid dispensing operation. In manual mode, single-step manual operation can be selected.

2. Liquid Supply System Composition

The system is mainly composed of a frame, induced draft unit, electrical control unit, liquid supply unit, pipeline unit, and chemical liquid distribution valve box (VMB).

3.  Basic Requirements of CDS Liquid Supply System

1) Operational safety: The system should have functions such as corrosion resistance, toxicity resistance, pressure resistance, fire prevention, and explosion prevention to ensure operator safety;

2) Compatibility: Parts in contact with chemicals should be fully compatible with the chemicals being transported, with zero contamination of the chemicals;

3) Flow rate and head: Meet the flow rate and head requirements during the liquid supply process, especially for high-concentration chemicals (such as H2SO4, H3PO4) and systems with vertical drop (the liquid supply system and the process equipment are not at the same height);

4) Automatic control operation: Automated interface between system units and equipment;

5) Precise proportioning: Accurate and reliable during the continuous liquid supply (liquid dispensing, replenishment) process, with good pulsation;

6) Sampling and analysis: Easy to sample and analyze the number of particles and metal ions in the system pipelines;

7) Leakage alarm: Leak detection and emergency system shutdown (E-MO);

8) Others: System self-diagnosis and pipeline maintenance functions.
