On October 18, the Xiamen Municipal People's Government, the Haicang District People's Government of Xiamen, and Hangzhou Silan Microelectronics Co., Ltd. signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement in Xiamen for the "12-inch High-end Analog Integrated Circuit Chip Manufacturing Production Line Project." Under the agreement, the companies will invest in building a 12-inch high-end analog integrated circuit chip production line in Xiamen's Haicang District. This facility will align with international leading standards, operate under an IDM model, and boast fully independent intellectual property rights.
Xiamen Semiconductor, Xiamen New Wing Technology, and Silan Microelectronics simultaneously signed the "Investment Cooperation Agreement for the 12-Inch High-End Analog Integrated Circuit Chip Manufacturing Production Line Project." Meanwhile, the Xiamen Branch of the China Development Bank and Xiamen Silan Micro signed the "Bank-Business Strategic Cooperation Agreement."
The project is planned with a total investment of 20 billion yuan, scheduled for construction in two phases. Phase I will involve an investment of 10 billion yuan, with construction set to begin before the end of 2025. The phase is expected to achieve preliminary operational readiness and production by the fourth quarter of 2027, reaching full capacity by 2030, ultimately enabling an annual output of 240,000 12-inch analog integrated circuit chips. Phase II will build upon Phase I, requiring an additional investment of 10 billion yuan. Upon completion of both phases, the project will establish an annual production capacity of 540,000 high-end 12-inch analog integrated circuit chips in Xiamen’s Hancang District. This initiative aims to nurture a semiconductor company with global competitiveness, filling the critical chip gap in key industries such as automotive, industrial applications, large-scale servers, robotics, and telecommunications. At the same time, it will help attract and consolidate upstream and downstream companies within the semiconductor industry cluster in Xiamen, contributing significantly to the city’s development as a hub for the integrated circuit chip industry.
Silan Micro has established itself as a domestic leader in the power semiconductor sector and has achieved remarkable success in key application markets such as automotive, white goods, wind-solar-storage systems, and sensors. Looking ahead, with the completion and commissioning of its new 12-inch chip production line in Xiamen, Silan Micro will further expand into high-end areas like high-performance analog circuits, enriching and perfecting its product portfolio while strengthening its core competitiveness even more.
