Recently, Gasgoo Automotive released the 2025 January–August LiDAR supplier installation volume ranking. Huawei Technologies topped the list with an installation volume of 643,826 units, capturing a market share of 41.1%. Notably, the ranking exclusively includes primary LiDAR systems—those deployed in the vehicle's main perception domain for long-range, high-precision environmental sensing—and does not account for LiDAR units used for supplementary blind-spot coverage.
The blogger "Blood Jingqi" shared, saying: "Hua Zi has already secured the top spot in installed capacity among LiDAR suppliers—number one in China means number one globally. It's absolutely incredible."
Huawei's LiDAR customers primarily include members of the Harmony Smart Mobility ecosystem as well as automakers adopting the HI model—namely, the well-known brands such as AITO, Zhiji, Enjoy, Zunji, Shangji, Lantu, Avatr, and Dongfeng Mengshi.
The second-ranked company is Hesai Technology, with an installed capacity of 514,189 units from January to August 2025, capturing a market share of 32.8%. Its customers include new EV manufacturers such as Li Auto and Xiaomi, as well as traditional automakers like Great Wall and Changan.
Third place goes to RoboSense, with 305,171 units installed from January to August 2025, capturing a market share of 19.5%. Its customers include BYD, Geely, Toyota, GAC Aion, and other prominent automotive brands.
Tudatong ranks fourth with an installed capacity of 104,700 units from January to August 2025, capturing a market share of 6.7%. Its primary customer is NIO.
