Recently, HKC launched its first display product—the HKC M10 Ultra—featuring an RGB-Mini LED backlight solution. This marks a significant expansion of RGB-Mini LED technology from large-size TVs into the smaller and medium-sized display segment. From a technical standpoint, RGB-Mini LED differs from conventional backlight solutions that rely on white light backlights combined with color filters to achieve color reproduction. Instead, RGB-Mini LED directly uses red, green, and blue Mini LED chips as the backlight source, enabling independent control over the brightness of each primary color for enhanced display performance. This approach reduces spectral loss, improves light efficiency, and offers certain advantages in terms of brightness and power consumption control.
In terms of specifications, the HKC M10 Ultra features a 31.4-inch panel that supports dual display modes—4K at 165Hz and FHD at 330Hz—and is equipped with an RGB-Mini LED backlight system comprising 4,788 local dimming zones. According to official data, the display covers four major color gamuts: sRGB, DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, and BT.2020. It also supports 3D LUT calibration for advanced color management, with ΔE values below 1 in certain modes. In terms of brightness, the product boasts a nominal full-screen brightness of approximately 1,000 nits, with peak brightness reaching up to 1,600 nits, and it supports multiple HDR curve standards.
In terms of interface and structural design, the M10 Ultra features an HDMI 2.1 port, a DP 2.1 port, and a full-function Type-C port that supports up to 98W of power delivery, meeting the connectivity needs of high-refresh-rate gaming and professional content creation. The stand offers ergonomic adjustments such as height adjustment and rotation, and the base adopts a compact design to minimize desk space occupation. According to available information, HKC has long been focused on the semiconductor display sector, with its core business encompassing the R&D and manufacturing of key display components, including semiconductor display panels, and extending into smart display terminals. Currently, the company has deployed multiple display technologies, including a-Si TFT-LCD, Oxide TFT, Oxide RGB OLED, Oxide LCD, and Mini LED.
In the MLED sector, HKC has simultaneously advanced the construction of three key projects in the first half of this year, including the Phase I Mini LED project in Mianyang, the Mini LED backlight and direct-display module and complete-machine project in Changsha, Hunan, and the Phase II flat-panel display project in Dongguan. The total investment for these three projects amounts to approximately 14.76 billion yuan. On the product front, at the DIC exhibition held this August, HKC showcased several Mini LED-backlit TVs, including an ultra-thin 116-inch 4K wallpaper TV and an 116-inch RGB Mini LED-backlit TV jointly developed with Hisense.
