Production Launched! Agreements Signed! Projects such as Xinhe Semiconductor and Lichuan Semiconductor Have Signed Agreements and Commenced Production!

On the morning of January 5, the high-tech zone (Tangqiao Town) held a ceremony marking the commissioning and signing of new projects, showcasing the enthusiastic spirit of "starting with full commitment and striving to take the lead from the very beginning." City Party Secretary Han Wei attended the event.

Xinhe Semiconductor Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. has completed construction and begun operations, with a total investment of 500 million yuan. The company will establish a research and development and production base for semiconductor heating plates. The Lichuan (Suzhou) Semiconductor Equipment R&D and Production Base project has also been signed, with a total investment of 1.05 billion yuan. In the first phase, the facility will produce fully automatic probe stations and wafer grinding equipment. Once fully operational, the base is expected to achieve an annual output value exceeding 1 billion yuan. According to statistics, our city’s specialized semiconductor industry has now attracted over 230 enterprises involved in the industrial chain, with an output value exceeding 10 billion yuan.

The Chengmu New Energy Vehicle Lightweight Components Production Base project, with a total investment of 1.03 billion yuan, has been completed and put into operation. Once fully operational, the base will have an annual production capacity of 500,000 sets of body parts, 600,000 sets of liquid-cooling plates, and 200,000 sets of sill assemblies, generating an annual output value of approximately 1.25 billion yuan. Additionally, the Chenghan Zhichuang Bulletproof Coating Project, with a total investment of 100 million yuan, has officially been signed. This project will establish a new bulletproof coating production line, which, upon reaching full capacity, is expected to coat 1 million units annually—including underbody shields and vehicle bodies for new-energy vehicles—generating an annual output value of about 150 million yuan. The signing and commissioning of these new projects will further boost the high-quality development of our city’s new-energy vehicle and component industries.

In his speech, Han Wei pointed out that Zhangjiagang is currently focusing on achieving the goals of building a “science and technology-driven city” and a “manufacturing powerhouse,” and is accelerating the development of a more competitive, modern industrial system. As the largest investor in Xinhe Semiconductor, Korea Micron Co., Ltd. boasts deep technological expertise and strong product competitiveness, making it a global leader in the semiconductor heating plate industry. Ricoh Intelligent, with its well-established innovation system and robust R&D capabilities, has already achieved a mature market presence with its core products, establishing an outstanding brand image within the industry. The completion and commissioning of Xinhe Semiconductor Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., as well as the signing of the project for the Ricoh (Suzhou) Semiconductor Equipment R&D and Production Base, will undoubtedly inject powerful momentum into the company’s growth and enable it to reach new heights in the industry. Moreover, these developments will provide strong support for Zhangjiagang to accelerate its efforts in building a more competitive semiconductor industry hub.

Han Wei expressed his hope that the newly signed projects would start construction, begin production, and achieve effectiveness as soon as possible. He also urged the newly commissioned projects to vigorously explore markets and accelerate the release of their production capacity, thereby contributing more high-quality incremental growth to the development of Gangcheng.
