According to a message from the “Zhungeer Banner Release” official account, the advanced 6-inch silicon-based power chip project of Zhunxin Semiconductor has undergone more than a year of intensive construction. Progress in the core cleanroom and specialized mechanical and electrical installation work has now exceeded 50%. Key production equipment is being rapidly delivered to the site, and commissioning and preparation for production are proceeding in parallel, laying a solid foundation for early completion and operation.

It is reported that the project covers an area of approximately 150 mu and has a planned total investment of 2 billion yuan, of which 1.7 billion yuan will be allocated to fixed-asset investments. The project focuses primarily on wafer chip manufacturing, aiming to build an intelligent production line with an annual output of 1 million 6-inch silicon-based chips, along with supporting facilities, thereby establishing a complete production system—from core manufacturing to complementary support services. The products will find wide applications in fields such as industrial control, computing servers, new energy systems integrating wind, solar, storage, and power generation, new-energy vehicles, and inverters. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate annual total revenues exceeding 2.5 billion yuan.

Notably, this project has established a comprehensive, end-to-end industrial layout covering key links such as the manufacturing of new-energy power electronic chips, device packaging, and supporting upstream and downstream industries, thereby creating an integrated development loop—from wafer R&D and chip packaging to end-use applications. Once the project is completed and put into operation, it will not only successfully fill the gap in Inner Mongolia’s power electronic semiconductor chip industry but also help the Jungeer Economic Development Zone become the autonomous region’s first strategic emerging industry park dedicated to electronic semiconductors.
