Recently, Sanbang Microelectronics (Beijing) Co., Ltd.—the leading player in China’s analog integrated circuit industry (hereinafter referred to as “Sanbang Microelectronics”)—signed an agreement with Guanggu Central City to establish a research and development center for central China. Analog chips are semiconductor devices that integrate fundamental electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors, specifically designed to process continuous analog signals like sound, light, and temperature. They serve as a critical bridge connecting the physical world with digital electronic systems.
Driven by the rapid growth of industries such as AI, 5G, and new-energy vehicles, demand for analog chips is surging. Analysts at the China Business Industry Research Institute forecast that China’s analog-chip market will reach RMB 245.1 billion in 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of more than 11%.

Suntek Microelectronics Products
Founded in 2007, Suntel Microelectronics is the first A-share listed company to offer a full portfolio of analog chip designs. Its product lineup spans 38 major categories and nearly 7,000 models, serving applications in optical modules, servers, automotive systems, and other fields. The company serves close to 6,000 customers both domestically and internationally, with cumulative shipments exceeding 50 billion analog chips. In the first quarter of this year, its order intake posted significant year-on-year growth. Suntel currently employs approximately 1,900 people, more than 70% of whom are R&D personnel, and holds over 1,000 authorized intellectual property rights.
Zhang Shilong, Chairman of the company, stated: “Our portfolio of analog chips now covers the entire range of products in the optical interconnect sector, and Optics Valley boasts a thriving optoelectronics information industry cluster, providing an extensive array of application scenarios for our products. Sanbang Microelectronics will promote its technologies for multi-phase power controllers, amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, and other chip products in Optics Valley, while forging collaborations with local companies specializing in optoelectronic equipment, medical devices, and electronic equipment.”
On April 21, the East Lake High-tech Development Zone facilitated a matchmaking event between eight companies—including FiberHome Technologies, Hi-Think Technology, and Xiaomi—and Suntel Microelectronics. According to a company executive, domestically produced analog chips offer superior quality at lower costs; as orders for optical modules continue to grow, the demand for analog chip procurement will further increase. With Suntel Microelectronics now based in Optics Valley, the two parties can communicate more conveniently on-site, which is expected to further shorten delivery lead times.
A relevant official from the East Lake High-tech Zone stated that they look forward to the company, once established in the zone, forging close collaborations with local upstream and downstream enterprises to create a collaborative innovation ecosystem characterized by R&D conducted next door, validation integrated into production lines, and joint pre-research efforts across the entire value chain.
