On August 11, ASMPT, a leading global semiconductor and electronics manufacturing company, announced a strategic adjustment and optimization of its equipment production and operations in China.

ASMPT has decided to close ASMPT Equipment (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., located in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, China. This factory belongs to ASMPT's Semiconductor Solutions division, and the facility closure will affect approximately 950 employees. While a difficult decision, this is a necessary step to optimize ASMPT's global supply chain to better adapt to the ever-changing market and customer needs.
