According to an announcement published by the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on November 24, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to formally initiate a Section 337 investigation (Investigation No.: 337-TA-1462) into certain liquid crystal devices, components, and their downstream products.

On August 29, 2025, BH Innovations LLC of New York, New York, USA; Longitude Licensing Limited of Ireland; and 138 East LCD Advancements Ltd. of Ireland filed a Section 337 investigation petition with the U.S. ITC, alleging that the products exported to the U.S., imported into the U.S., and sold in the U.S. violate U.S. Section 337 by infringing U.S. registered patents Nos. 7,705,948 and 7,570,334. The petition requests that the U.S. ITC issue a limited exclusion order and a cease-and-desist order.

The U.S. International Trade Commission will set the deadline for concluding its investigation within 45 days after initiating a case. Except in cases where the U.S. Trade Representative rejects the recommendation for policy reasons, any relief orders issued by the U.S. International Trade Commission in Section 337 cases shall take effect on the date of their issuance and become final 60 days after the date of issuance.
